The CIA Office of Inspector General is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as Associate Counsel to the Audit, Inspections, and Investigations Staffs of OIG and as an advisor to OIG leadership.

Key Responsibilities

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as Associate Counsel to the Audit, Inspections, and Investigations Staffs of OIG and as an advisor to OIG leadership.

The position requires an understanding of CIA and its authorities, the Intelligence Community, the applicable laws and statutes under which OIG operates, and its relationship to the rest of the Inspector General (IG) community.As Associate Counsel with OIG, you will work independently and with minimum supervision using your skills as an attorney to: Provide cogent legal advice and guidance, both orally and in all types of written products, to the IG, the OIG Front Office, the Assistant Inspectors General for Audit, Inspections, and Investigations, and their staffs.

Provide research, analysis, and resolutions in a wide range of legal areas, including statutory interpretation of the National Security and Central Intelligence Agency Acts, Congressional oversight, constitutional principles, federal criminal law and procedure, Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act matters, procurement and fiscal law, conflicts of interest, and ethics.

Review and comment on proposed legislation and interact with other IGs, the Department of Justice, and Congress.
