Job summary

UNICEF in Washington DC seeks a Public Partnerships Specialist (P-3) to fortify UNICEF’s engagement with International Financial Institutions and public sector partners. Based in the USA, you will monitor developments, provide strategic guidance, and support senior leaders in resource mobilization and policy influence.

The role emphasizes partnership development and diplomatic engagement with the World Bank Group and IMF.

Qualifications

• Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in International Business Relations, Political Science, Economics, Finance, International Development, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in public partnerships, external relations, resource mobilization, public policy, or diplomacy.
• Experience with International Financial Institutions is required and familiarity with multilateral organizations and governments is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop and implement partnership, engagement, or advocacy strategies and to prepare strategic analyses and executive briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing, implementing and monitoring influence, engagement and advocacy strategies with World Bank Group and other public partners; advise senior management.
• Inform and influence partner agendas to position UNICEF as a partner of choice for income and influence.
• Coordinate with UNICEF offices (Washington DC, New York) and engage with partner fora and high-level engagements.
• Negotiate, plan and coordinate events to foster UNICEF's engagement on strategic issues for children with partners.
• Support senior management in engagement with partners and provide strategic analysis and recommendations.
