Job summary

UNICEF’s Washington DC Office is seeking a Partnerships Specialist to strengthen UNICEF's engagement with the World Bank Group, IMF and other IFIs.

You will monitor policy developments, provide strategic guidance, and coordinate cross‑regional collaboration to mobilize resources for children. Based in the North America & IFIs pillar, you will support senior leadership and help position UNICEF as a trusted partner in sustainable development.

Qualifications

  • Master or equivalent in International Business Relations, Political Science, Economics, Finance, International Development or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in public partnerships, external relations or resource mobilization.
  • Experience working with or for International Financial Institutions is required.
  • Experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and high-level engagements.
  • English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and monitor influence, engagement and advocacy strategies with the World Bank Group and assigned partners; advise senior management on agendas.
  • Contribute to informing and influencing partner agendas to position UNICEF as a partner of choice for income and influence.
  • Coordinate with UNICEF offices in Washington DC, New York or other locations for partner engagement.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with counterparties; support management's engagement in these discussions.
  • Prepare strategic analyses, executive briefing materials, and recommendations for senior leadership engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze political, institutional, and financing trends; translate into actionable recommendations.
