Job summary

The Greater Cincinnati School Application Consortium is seeking an IEP Coordinator for Summit Academy for Alternative Learners in Xenia, OH. The role focuses on evaluating students, drafting IEPs and ETRs, and ensuring procedural compliance across teams.

You will train staff on services, accommodations, and modifications, maintain compliant records, and coordinate timelines while collaborating with teachers and service providers to support student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• Preference for current Ohio Intervention Specialist licensure.
• Strong knowledge of scientific methodology and quantitative measurement.
• Ability to generate, record, and maintain information and statistics.
• Knowledge of Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and federal policies (IDEA, NCLB).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to safeguard confidentiality of student records.
• Professional interaction with students, staff and families.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Successful completion of criminal records check (BCI/FBI).
• Health requirements up to date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate evaluation process and writing of IEPs and ETRs.
• Monitor IEP and ETR compliance and deadlines.
• Provide staff training on special education services, accommodations, and modifications.
• Maintain accurate master spreadsheets with IEP/ETR data and statuses.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers on IEP goals.
• Ensure signatures and paperwork are complete and compliant.
• Review evaluation components, goals, and progress reports for quality.
• Convene IEP teams as needed to revise goals.
• Support Manifestation Determination Reviews.
• Communicate with Executive Director and participate in Administrative Team duties.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field; preference for licensure in Ohio as an Intervention Specialist
