Job summary

The Sheppard Pratt School- Rockville is a year-round, non-public special education program serving elementary through high school students with emotional and behavioral disorders and autism spectrum disorders. The IEP Coordinator will supervise and coordinate the IEP process, lead IEP meetings, and liaise with the local school system to ensure timely, quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in special education.
• MSDE Professional License (PL) in secondary education or special education.
• At least 1 year of experience in direct instruction, formal and informal assessments, learning disabilities, autism, and aligning IEP goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the IEP process for the school program.
• Schedule, organize preparations, and lead IEP meetings; audit IEP documentation for quality and timeliness; educate staff in the IEP process.
• Serve as a resource to school staff and liaise with the local school system (LSS) administration.
