Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with an endorsement in Special Education.
• Valid Oregon Teaching License with applicable Special Education endorsements and authorization level(s).
• Must meet all other TSPC license requirements, including Background and Criminal History Clearance.
• Ability to maintain strength of knowledge and practice in instructional skills and strategies.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of subject matter, to seek professional growth, improve classroom instruction, and to qualify for license renewal by following both state and district regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify students in need of Special Education Services.
• Diagnosis of learning needs.
• Writing and implementation of Individual Education Programs (IEP).
• Consult with and provide assistance to classroom teachers in their efforts to support students experiencing disabilities in their classroom.
• Establish relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a sense of belonging and community.
