Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develops project plans, creates schedules and ensures task deliverables meet expectations.
  • Collaborates with project contributors to assess and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Defines and ensures resources are assigned to meet project goals.
  • Monitors project and communicates quality and progress metrics to department and/or staff(s).
  • Recommends project budget and monitors and adjusts plan as resource requirements change.
  • Addresses and resolves project issues to ensure goals remain on track.

Campus Location: Wichita, KS - WSU Main Campus

Hire Type: Full Time

Pay: Commensurate with experience

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; work is performed onsite andin-person.;work is performed on-site and in person.

Export Compliance Requirement: This position requires accessto EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required tobe eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and mustmeet the requirement of being a “U.S. Citizen”.

Job Summary

Manages assigned project(s) to meet department objectives.

Essential Functions

Develops project plans, creates schedules and ensures taskdeliverables meet expectations. Collaborates with projectcontributors to assess and ensure successful project outcomes.Defines and ensures resources are assigned to meet project goals.Monitors project and communicates quality and progress metrics todepartment and/or staff(s). Recommends project budget and monitorsand adjusts plan as resource requirements change. Addresses andresolves project issues to ensure goals remain on track.

Required Education and Experience:
  • 60 hours of college coursework in business administration orrelated field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in project management or relatedfield. Every 30 hours of college coursework beyond 60 hours can besubstituted for one (1) year of experience, up to 120 hours.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, andresource planning.

Knowledge of budgeting practices and project performancemetrics.

Skill in coordinating teams and ensuring project deliverables meetexpectations.

Skill in identifying issues, mitigating risks, and maintainingproject timelines.

Skill in clear, professional communication with staff andstakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changingrequirements.

Ability to interpret project specifications and apply departmentalobjectives.

Ability to meet U.S. export compliance requirements(EAR/ITAR).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment includingbut not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.

Ability to interpret effectively, accurately and impartially, bothreceptively and expressively. Ability to communicate with othersand accurately exchange information. Ability to remain in astationary position.
