Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, mid-level engineer to contribute to core CIAM capabilities that secure customer identities and enable growth.

You will work on registration, login, authorization, and account lifecycles for B2C and B2B experiences, collaborating with engineers and cross-functional partners. You will build backend services and APIs in Python or Kotlin, integrate with identity platforms, and drive secure development practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• Proficient in writing, testing, and debugging software in Python or Kotlin.
• Foundational backend development: APIs, data structures, databases, version control.
• Interest in authentication and secure, reliable customer experiences; CIAM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing authentication features, including MFA and device binding.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Python or Kotlin.
• Integrate with identity platforms like Okta, Auth0, ForgeRock for web, mobile, and partner apps.
• Follow SDLC: design, code, review, test, and deploy with the team.
