At Caris, we understand that cancer is an ugly word - a word no one wants to hear, but one that connects us all. That's why we're not just transforming cancer care - we're changing lives. We introduced precision medicine to the world and built an industry around the idea that every patient deserves answers as unique as their DNA. Backed by cutting-edge molecular science and AI, we ask ourselves every day: "What would I do if this patient were my mom?" That question drives everything we do. But our mission doesn't stop with cancer. We're pushing the frontiers of medicine and leading a revolution in healthcare - driven by innovation, compassion, and purpose. Join us in our mission to improve the human condition across multiple diseases. If you're passionate about meaningful work and want to be part of something bigger than yourself, Caris is where your impact begins.
Caris Life Sciences serves hundreds of thousands of molecular cases a year and continues to grow at double-digit rates. Its molecular, imaging, and clinical-outcomes data support software that helps ensure a cancer patient's report is right, complete, and on time.
The Senior Software Engineer - Identity Resolution & Master Data Management designs, builds, and operates the production identity capabilities that regulated clinical workflows depend on: matching, linking, merging, and separating identity records under auditable controls, so that clinical information lands on the correct patient and provider records across complex healthcare data flows. The engineer improves resolution quality, data integrity, and operational reliability, and every change ships through controlled, testable delivery practices. The engineering environment supports advanced AI coding assistants and agentic workflows across design, implementation, and test generation. Characterization tests and golden-master replay serve as executable evidence, and onboarding is harness-first: the engineer builds or extends those tests to capture current behavior as repeatable validation evidence. Delivery runs on CI/CD, automated testing, application-level observability, and risk-based release governance aligned with current FDA Computer Software Assurance guidance. The specific technology stack is discussed during the interview process. Reporting to an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager in Clinical Software Engineering, this senior individual contributor leads technical delivery in the identity-resolution domain, participates in architecture and design decisions, and maintains software subject to SOX financial controls and FDA regulatory requirements.
