Job summary

Saildrone, a maritime defense company and the global leader in autonomous unmanned surface vehicles, seeks an IT Operations engineer to own internal endpoint and identity systems, provisioning users, securing access, enrolling devices, and automating policies.

You will manage Okta and endpoint platforms, deploy Windows, macOS, and Linux devices, and build automation with scripts and IaC to reduce manual work.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in IT Operations support and automation.
• In-depth experience with Okta administration in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints (Ubuntu).
• Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Working knowledge of SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM, RBAC, and endpoint security controls.
• Dedication to documentation and change-management artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Design, administer, and improve identity lifecycle services (Okta) and MFA, SCIM provisioning, and RBAC.
• Engineer and operate endpoint-management workflows for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Own and administer device management platforms (e.g., JumpCloud).
• Monitor and remediate endpoint policy adherence and patch management.
• Build automation using scripting, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code where appropriate.
