Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking an Identity Consultant to support, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise identity services across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and hybrid environments. You will troubleshoot authentication, infrastructure, and access-related issues while ensuring secure and reliable identity operations.

You will contribute to automation, service improvements, and knowledge sharing, working independently on day‑to‑day activities and coordinating changes through ITSM

Qualifications

• Mid-level experience supporting Active Directory and hybrid identity environments (AD / Microsoft Entra ID).
• Strong expertise in Active Directory administration, Domain Controllers, replication, DNS, and delegation models.
• Experience troubleshooting authentication, identity technologies including Kerberos, LDAP/LDAPS, and hybrid authentication.
• Knowledge of Entra Connect, synchronization concepts, PKI, and certificate lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, automation, reporting solutions, and scheduled task management.
• Understanding of Identity Security best practices, monitoring, alert investigation, and operational risk mitigation.
• Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Active Directory environments, including users, groups, OUs, GPOs, and delegated permissions.
• Manage and maintain Domain Controllers, health checks, replication validation, troubleshooting, and FSMO role awareness.
• Support hybrid identity services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect synchronization, and hybrid authentication solutions.
• Investigate and resolve identity, authentication, DNS, certificate, Kerberos, LDAP/LDAPS, and access-related issues through root-cause analysis.
• Monitor operational queues, alerts, dashboards, shared mailboxes, and service requests to ensure timely resolution and SLA compliance.
• Develop, maintain, and improve PowerShell scripts, reporting solutions, scheduled tasks, and automation tooling to enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate incidents, requests, problems, and changes through ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms, while maintaining documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and continuous service improvements.

Job Requirements

• Experience troubleshooting authentication and identity technologies, including Kerberos, LDAP/LDAPS, hybrid authentication, and account access issues.

• Knowledge of Entra Connect, synchronization concepts, PKI, certificate lifecycle management, and authentication‑related scenarios.

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, operational tooling, automation, reporting solutions, and scheduled task management.

• Understanding of Identity Security best practices, Tier 0 concepts, monitoring, alert investigation, and operational risk mitigation.

• Experience working with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms, including Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management processes.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot most operational issues with minimal supervision, collaborate on complex technical challenges, and proactively identify opportunities for service improvement and automation.
