The University of Notre Dame is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented IAM Associate Administrator to join our award-winning Office of Information Technology ( OIT ). In this entry-level to early-career role, you’ll support critical identity and access management systems including Okta, Active Directory (AD), and Entra ID — helping to safeguard user access and secure the University’s digital assets.

You’ll collaborate with Information Security and other IT teams, as well as campus partners to help ensure Notre Dame’s systems stay secure and compliant — making sure the right people have the right access, to the right resources, at the right time and in the right context. What You’ll Do

  • Support Secure Access – Assist in managing user provisioning and access across Notre Dame’s technology ecosystem, helping ensure the right people have the right access at the right time
  • Respond with Agility – Rapidly address access requests, troubleshoot incidents, and deliver timely resolutions with precision and professionalism
  • Champion Security Excellence – Partner with Information Security and IT teams to implement and uphold industry-leading IAM policies, standards, and best practices
  • Drive Accountability – Support comprehensive access reviews and compliance initiatives to maintain security integrity
  • Solve Complex Challenges – Work alongside senior analysts to troubleshoot and resolve sophisticated access issues
  • Create Knowledge – Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation, and internal knowledge bases to support consistent, reliable IAM operations
  • Innovate – Contribute to the evolution and enhancement of Notre Dame’s IAM infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic understanding of IAM principles (e.g., least privilege, RBAC )
  • Familiarity with directory services such as Active Directory
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced IT environment
  • Work authorization in the United States and the ability to work without visa sponsorship, now and in the future
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IAM technologies in a Higher Education environment
  • Exposure to IAM tools such as Okta, Ping, SailPoint, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management or ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • Familiarity with DevOps and agile practices
