Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead the Identity and Access Management team across Snap’s cloud and infrastructure. You will set the IAM strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and security teams to build secure, scalable systems.

The role requires strong leadership, expertise in IAM concepts, and experience with AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and automation. We value use of AI tools to accelerate secure development while ensuring governance and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of post-bachelor security experience; or advanced degree with 7+ years.
• 1+ year of Engineering Manager experience.
• Experience leading IAM or cloud security initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a security engineering team focused on IAM across Snap’s cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Define and execute the IAM strategy including authentication, authorization, privileged access, and governance.
• Design and implement scalable security controls, automation, and guardrails across GCP and AWS.
• Utilize AI tools and high velocity engineering workflows to ship scalable services with secure code.
• Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to enforce least privilege while enabling developer productivity.
• Drive security reviews, risk assessments, and incident response for IAM.
• Mentor engineers and influence stakeholders on IAM strategy and long-term direction.
