Job summary

The City of Charlotte is seeking a Cyber Identity Administrator to protect access to municipal systems. You will support Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta, handling account lifecycles, SSO onboarding, and compliance tasks in partnership with senior engineers.

Hybrid opportunity within the Innovation and Technology Department, with growth potential into advanced identity engineering and IAM automation. Strong scripting and governance focus required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in IT security/identity management.
• Experience administering Active Directory and SSO platforms.
• Experience with auditing and compliance (NIST, CJIS, HIPAA).
• Strong scripting and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer user accounts, groups, and access in AD, Entra ID, and Okta.
• Manage identity lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, RBAC changes.
• Support day-to-day AD operations, OU management, and domain health.
• Onboard and troubleshoot SSO apps using SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM.
• Troubleshoot Entra App Registrations and Conditional Access issues.
• Support access governance aligning with Zero Trust principles.
• Build automation for IAM processes using PowerShell and Okta Workflows.
• Monitor logs, review alerts, and assist with incident response.
