Idealease of Knoxville is seeking a dependable Mobile Preventive Maintenance Technician to service commercial trucks at customer locations around Knoxville. You will travel in a company mobile service vehicle and perform scheduled PM tasks to keep fleets operating safely and reliably.

Mobile Preventive Maintenance Technician

Idealease of Knoxville is looking for a dependable, motivated Mobile Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, providing excellent customer service, and performing routine maintenance that helps prevent costly breakdowns and keeps commercial vehicles operating safely and efficiently.

Unlike a traditional diesel technician role focused on major engine and drivetrain repairs, this position will primarily perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections at customer locations throughout the Knoxville area.

What You'll Do

• Travel to customer locations in a company mobile service vehicle
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services on commercial trucks
• Complete oil and filter changes, lubrication services, and fluid checks
• Inspect brakes, tires, lights, belts, hoses, batteries, and other vehicle components
• Identify maintenance needs and potential problems before they lead to breakdowns
• Document inspections, services performed, and recommended repairs
• Maintain an organized, clean, and properly stocked mobile service vehicle
• Communicate professionally with customers and our service team
• Follow company safety procedures and environmental requirements
• Help customers maximize vehicle uptime through consistent, quality maintenance

What We're Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and experience performing automotive, truck, fleet, or equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile service schedule
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment associated with vehicle maintenance

Commercial truck experience is preferred, but extensive diesel engine repair experience is not required. We're looking for someone who understands maintenance, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn.
