Job summary

Communicare is seeking a qualified supervisor to oversee operations for up to four locations within the Supervised Living program. The role emphasizes meeting policy standards, coordinating billing, and ensuring client access to services.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, CPI certification, strong supervisory skills, and reliable transportation for client transport as needed. Background checks and ongoing training are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities or related field.
  • Must be CPI certified or able to complete CPI training and any other training required by Communicare and the Department of Mental Health.
  • Ability to perform the responsibilities of the job as listed above.
  • Ability to relate positively to individuals served through the Supervised Living program and their families.
  • Must have transportation or access to transportation and be able to provide automobile insurance and an insurable driving record.
  • Good management/supervisory and good oral/written communication skills.
  • Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervisory and administrative responsibilities for the overall operation for up to four locations.
  • Help ensure standards and documentation requirements are met in accordance to Communicare policies, Department of Mental Health Standards, and Medicaid regulations.
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff
  • Schedule coverage and fill in for absent staff, when necessary
  • Be available for after-hours crisis management as needed
  • Perform rounds on all shifts a minimum of one time monthly or more as needed
  • Serve as a liaison for clients in obtaining services, including transporting clients as needed
  • Assist in establishing policies, procedures, activity schedules, and other information as required and necessary for the operation of the program
  • Work closely with Communicare to maintain billing records, fees and client financial records
  • Attend meetings, staffings, and other activities as needed
  • Work under the supervision of the Director of IDD Services
  • Perform other duties as assigned
