State of Georgia is seeking a Direct Support Professional for IDD Residential Services in Manchester, GA. The role focuses on safety, dignity, and facilitating recreation, socialization, and vocational activities based on individual plans.

Responsibilities include teaching daily living skills, providing personal care and supervision, and supporting community participation. The position requires a driver’s license and relevant experience or education.

Qualificações

• One year experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a human services setting.
• Associate degree in a related field plus a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma/GED with six months of relevant training or experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct personal care and supervision in residential, facility-based, or community settings.
• Assists with development of an Individual Service Plan for each client.
• Teaches basic life skills in residential, day, and community settings.
• Observes and documents client behavior and incidents.
• Provides training of basic personal, social, or work skills.
• Provides transportation for clients for community outings.
• Supports clients in building relationships and social networks.
