Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an IDD Provider Specialist to support individuals with developmental disabilities in ISS and residential settings. Responsibilities include implementing therapeutic activities, coordinating with care teams and families, and maintaining thorough documentation while ensuring safety and quality of care.

The role involves direct care tasks, assisting with ADLs, medications monitoring, and behavior management.

Qualifications

• Must have six months of any type of work experience.
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and modalities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Exercise independent judgment and communicate effectively with individuals and co-workers.
• Prefer working computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate therapeutic programs for individuals with IDD, planning individual activities.
• Liaise with Provider Care Coordinators and family members.
• Daily documentation of services, ensuring safety procedures and assisting with facility and vehicle maintenance.
• Be a member of the interdisciplinary team as requested.
• Provide direct care services including ADLs, medications administration monitoring, nutrition, mobility, and health needs.
• Implement behavior management programs and emergency interventions when needed.
• Foster a productive, clean, and safe environment and serve as a positive role model.
