Job summary

Sunrise Community in Daytona Beach, FL seeks a Direct Support professional to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their goals. You will oversee and coordinate program plans, document services, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, at least one year of field experience, a valid driver’s license, and pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Services field.
• At least one year experience in the intellectual/developmental disabilities field.
• Pre-employment background and drug screenings required.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates the Program Plan for individuals to align with their needs and desires.
• Creates positive, collaborative communication with all disciplines and team members.
• Ensures Program Plans and documentation meet regulatory requirements.
• Assists in monitoring and training staff to ensure proper implementation of plans.
• Helps individuals apply for Medicaid and Medicare benefits.
