Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. seeks a dedicated Direct Support professional in Sunset Corners, FL to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving valued lives in the community.

You will deliver supervision, personal care and support aligned with individual plans, ensuring health and safety, documenting progress, and reporting any abuse or rights violations. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license with endorsements and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Pre-employment background and drug screenings are required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Minimum one year of experience in the human service field if required by work location.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports suspected abuse or rights violations.
• Provides support, assistance and supervision to meet individuals’ needs and goals.
• Ensures training, behavior and support plans are implemented and documented per regulations.
• Maintains health, safety and wellbeing of individuals at all times.
• Provides a positive environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Assists with diet, equipment and adaptive devices per plan.
• Keeps homes, outside areas and vehicles clean and organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
