Job summary

OneWell Health Care in California seeks a compassionate Personal Attendant to provide daily living support to individuals with IDD. You will assist with bathing, dressing, meals, mobility, and transportation, in clients' homes or care facilities.

This role emphasizes dignity, independence, and well-being, with attention to care plans, HIPAA compliance, and accurate record-keeping. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are preferred; prior healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience as a personal attendant or in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow care plans and detailed instructions accurately.
• Capability to lift and move clients using proper safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ comfort and quality of life.
• Support mobility and transfers, including use of lifts or equipment.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Transport clients to medical appointments and activities.
• Maintain daily records of care provided and client condition updates.
