Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester is seeking a Nursing Services Manager (RN) to lead Nursing Services in our IDD programs. You will ensure high-quality care, trauma-informed practices, and collaboration with clinicians and supports.

The role requires a NYS RN license and at least one year of supervisory experience in OPWDD settings, with five years preferred. This is a full-time position offering growth opportunities and a rewarding mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid NYS Department of Education Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• One year minimum experience supervising Nursing Services within an OPWDD program; five years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health care to patients in CCFCS programs.
• Identify immediate and long-term health care needs and coordinate care.
• Make referrals and recommendations based on health assessments.
• Assist clients in identifying local resources and supports.
• Coordinate with agency staff, primary health care providers, and related organizations for integrated care.
• Oversee training of RNs and ensure complete, accurate documentation.
• Provide training and supervision of IDD Nursing staff and ensure cross-coverage.
• Attend case conferences as needed and support staff education.
• Monitor medication training and compliance status across IDD staff.
• Participate in agency meetings and pursue professional development.
