Job summary

00 RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring an IDD Nurse (LPN) for a Regular (full-time) position in Tennessee. The role offers a night shift from 7PM to 7AM with rotating weekends off and a pay rate of $30.42 per hour.

You will provide holistic nursing care, support licensed colleagues, and help coordinate medical appointments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited LPN program, current nursing license, CPR certification

We are hiring for:

IDD Nurse (LPN) Type: Regular

To provide professional care to service users, aimed at preventing disease and maintaining good health care. Pay: $30.42 Schedule: 7PM - 7AM with rotating weekends off

Job Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
• Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel
• Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
• Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
• Conduct medication closest assessments
• Collect health related data
• Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
• Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
• Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
• Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks

Physical requirements

• Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
• Must be able to regularly stand and walk.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level.
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
• Must be able to communicate.
