Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking an IDD Nurse (LPN) to provide holistic nursing care in residential/vocational settings under RN supervision. You will administer medications, assist with care plans, and coordinate health services to people with IDD and mental health challenges.

The role requires an active LPN license, CPR certification, and strong teamwork skills to support individuals and their families. On-site positions and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
  • Current CPR Certification or eligible to obtain certification.
  • Strong communication with interdisciplinary team and families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with IDD.
  • Assist the RN in delivering quality nursing services.
  • Administer medications and treatments or assist with administration.
  • Assist with scheduling preventive and routine medical appointments.
  • Document health data and report abnormal findings to the physician.
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, and the interdisciplinary team.
  • Advocate for people supported and help develop community supports.

Relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment to accomplish tasks in combination with clinical supervision from the registered nurse and direction from the Registered Nurse and/or Administrator.Job Responsibilities:Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesAssist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supportedProvide health related training to unlicensed personnelAdminister medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administrationAssist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduledConduct medication closest assessmentsCollect health related dataObserve for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physicianCommunicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary TeamAdvocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supportedPosition Requirements:Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse programCurrent nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certificationMust be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their familiesMust be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasksPhysical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:Regular required to lift 20 lbs.Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.Must be able to pull minimum of 25 lbs.Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
