Job summary

Gateway BHS is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care under MD orders and Nursing Standards of Practice. The role includes assessing patients, administering medications, documenting care, educating patients, and supervising LPNs and support staff.

Responsibilities include chart reviews, MAR management, and participation in treatment planning. Travel between Gateway sites may be required, with a focus on high-quality, respectful patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Current Georgia RN license and related professional work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs Nursing Assessments.
• Administers medications accurately and safely.
• Performs head-to-toe physical exams and evaluates health history.
• Educates consumers regarding disease processes, medications and treatments.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the record.
• Provides oversight to LPNs and Direct Support Staff.
