Job summary

Amivie, LLC seeks a reliable supervisor to lead staff in a residential facility serving individuals with IDD. You will ensure daily schedules, implement plans, and maintain safety and quality of care.

This on-site, full-time role in North Carolina requires coordinating with Qualified Professionals, orienting new staff, and training, while ensuring documentation and policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in human services with two years of full-time experience with the IDD population.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a non-human service field with four years of full-time experience with the IDD population.
• Master’s Degree in a human services field with one year of full-time experience with the IDD population.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily schedule is followed and objective plans are implemented.
• Communicate with Qualified Professional (QP) when concerns arise about plans or clinical care.
• Communicate with the QP about individuals’ health, safety and welfare concerns.
• Orient new staff to the daily routine of the facility.
• Counsel/train staff in routine responsibilities.
• Provide documentation to the Administrator when staff fail to meet responsibilities.
• Keep the facility sanitary and safe.
• Coordinate repairs with supervision.
• Coordinate for replacement of household products/office supplies.
• Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Complete monthly activity schedules for residents.
• Schedule and attend medical appointments with residents.
• Plan nutritious meals for residents and purchase groceries.
• Complete staff work schedules.
• Use applicant pool to recruit staff for the group home.

Job description

Overview

• To provide first line supervision in the facility and to be responsible for the staff; to maintain the program in accordance with standards.
• To ensure staff are providing safe, quality care for the residents of the home.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the daily schedule is followed and objective plans are implemented.
• To communicate with the Qualified Professional(QP) when there are concerns, problems or questions about the objective plans or clinical care.
• To communicate with the QP when there are concerns, problems or questions about the individuals' health, safety and welfare.
• To orient new staff to the daily routine of the facility.
• To counsel/train staff in routine responsibilities.
• To provide documentation to the Administrator when staff do not complete responsibilities adequately.
• To ensure that the facility is maintained in a sanitary condition.
• To coordinate for repairs with the supervision.
• To coordinate for replacement of household products/office supplies.
• Ensure strategic and organizational policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• To complete monthly activity schedules for residents
• To schedule and attend medical appointments with residents

Qualifications

NC Requirement are:

• Bachelor’s Degree in human services with two years of full-time with the population served (IDD);
• or Bachelor’s Degree in non-human service field with four years of full-time experience with the population served;
• or Master’s Degree in a human services field with one year of full-time experience with the population served.
• We are also looking for someone with direct experience working with individuals in the IDD population.

Skills/Experience

• Ability to hire and supervise direct care service staff.
• Demonstrates ability to provide training for direct care services staff.
• Requires input in policy/procedure formulation and implementation.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
