Job summary

Lakes Regional Community Center is seeking an IDD Provider Specialist to run group and individual activities, provide direct care, and collaborate with care teams. The role includes documentation, safety compliance, and participation in an interdisciplinary team.

The position is full-time with a 7am-3pm schedule on weekdays. Relevant experience in developmental disabilities is preferred, along with basic computer skills and a commitment to safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to assess and evaluate classroom effectiveness and implement changes as indicated.
• Must be knowledgeable of therapeutic techniques and modalities of working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Exercise independent judgment, able to work with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with individuals and co-workers.
• Prefer working computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate therapeutic programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, planning individual activities.
• Liaise with individual's Provider Care Coordinators and family members.
• Complete daily documentation of services and assist with monitoring facility and vehicle maintenance.
• Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team as requested.
• Provide direct care services including activities of daily living and health care needs.
• Administer and monitor medications and support transportation and recreation.
