Job summary
Caregiver in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking an LPN/LVN to provide basic nursing care under RN supervision for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will monitor health, administer medications, and support daily living activities in accordance with care plans and policies.
Requirements include graduation from an accredited LPN/LVN program, valid state license, BLS, driver’s license; experience with IDD/DD or LTC preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with IDD/DD populations or LTC preferred.
Responsibilities
- Uphold dignity, respect, and person-centered care.
- Provide routine nursing care and health monitoring as directed by clinical supervisor.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by clinical supervisor.
- Observe and report changes in client health status or behavior to clinical supervisor.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and safety.
- Reinforce training for direct support staff regarding basic health and infection control.
- Participate in implementation of health care and behavior support plans.
- Provide nursing support for on-call shifts, including after-hours as needed.
