Job summary

Merakey is seeking a compassionate Program Aide to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. You will support adults with IDD in an Adult Day Program, helping them build daily living skills and participate in meaningful activities.

Join our structured environment where creativity, flexibility, and strong organization are valued as you help participants stay safe and engaged throughout the day, Monday through Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with IDD with daily routines, personal care, and mobility as needed
• Lead and support group and individual activities focused on life skills, social skills, and recreation
• Encourage independence, positive behavior, and active participation
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging environment
• Document participant progress and communicate with team members
• Maintain a clean, organized program space and assist with setup and cleanup
