KM Engineering, LLP is offering a Summer Intern position in Boise (and Caldwell), Idaho. The role supports Civil Engineering, Surveying, Planning, and Landscape Architecture teams on active projects, with hands-on tasks and field assignments as needed.

The ideal candidate is enrolled in a related program, demonstrates strong academics, and seeks professional development. This onsite internship provides mentorship, client exposure, and opportunities to contribute to design and documentation work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
• Strong academic performance and interest in professional development.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Design Support: Assist in preparing drawings, plans, and reports; draft with AutoCAD Civil 3D; perform basic calculations.
• Surveying Support: Assist field crews with data collection using GPS and survey equipment; process data and prepare maps.
• Planning & Landscape Architecture Support: Aid site plans, zoning research, and exhibit preparation; contribute to presentations.
• General: Participate in meetings, maintain files, and support project needs.
