Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Examine patients' teeth and gums using dental equipment and X-rays.
• Diagnose dental conditions and plan oral health care with patients.
• Clean teeth, treat cavities, and provide preventive care.
• Repair decayed teeth with fillings; extract and replace when needed.
• Treat diseases of gums, nerves and root canals; perform related surgery.
• Administer local anesthesia as required for treatments.
• Design and fit dentures, crowns, bridges for tooth replacement.
• Refer patients to dental specialists when needed.
