Job summary

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan seeks a Social Services Supervisor focused on ICWA compliance and licensing for Anishnaabeg Child and Family Services. You will lead protective services investigations, provide family support, and ensure accuracy of case files in line with Tribal and federal codes.

Strong supervisory and case management skills are required, with knowledge of HIPAA and collaboration with state/federal partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
• Four (4) years of social services experience with children and families.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Two years of case management experience.
• Must pass background check and have effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with professional development and supervise Social Services staff.
• Ensure compliance with ICWA, Tribal and federal requirements.
• Monitor caseload to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Coordinate foster and shelter home recruitment and home studies.
• Provide crisis intervention and family counseling as needed.
• Travel to client service sites and serve as liaison with other agencies.
