Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an ICU/Critical Care Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, collaborative team. This full-time role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays; typical shifts include 6am-6pm (Mon-Wed) with some flexibility.

Responsibilities include triage, CPR initiation, placing IVCs and central lines, ventilator care, and mentoring colleagues while delivering exceptional patient care and reuniting pets with their families.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVCs and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases
• Work with other technicians and assistants to provide advanced medicine
• Mentor and train co-workers
• Reunite critically ill patients with their pet parents
