Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Monterey, CA is seeking an ICU/Critical Care Veterinary Technician for a full-time role. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays, and is paid hourly from $24 to $44 depending on experience.

You will perform triage, obtain histories, place venous access devices, monitor ventilator cases, and collaborate with a skilled team to deliver advanced care to pets, mentoring colleagues as needed.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
