Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for ICU (Intensive Care Unit) in Milwaukee, WI. This travel assignment requires 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, and a 13-week duration.

Eligible candidates hold an active RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and BLS & ACLS certifications, with at least 18 months of ICU experience. Benefits include weekly pay, housing options, and credentialing support.

Qualifications

• Active RN License is required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS & ACLS certifications are required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting is required.
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
• Ensure proper functioning of life-support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
