Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel ICU RN in Springfield, OH for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week (12-hour nights). The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and ICU RN credentials, including ACLS and BLS.

This travel role requires adapting to life-threatening care environments and providing patient- and family-centered education. As a travel ICU nurse, you will evaluate patients, document care plans, and coordinate with physicians.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH (NIHSS) may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care in ICU.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; document patient data.
• Draw blood and collect specimens for labs; record results.
• Monitor and adjust ICU equipment and patient monitoring displays.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters and lines.
• Communicate patient status to family and care team.
