Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Ohio. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week, with night shifts, and travel eligibility.

The ICU RN will evaluate and monitor patients, document physician-directed care, and support families while delivering critical care in life-threatening situations. ACLS, BLS, NIH and 2 years of acute care experience are required; additional certifications may be needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification mentioned; additional certifications may be required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Take samples for lab work and interpret results.
• Monitor specialized equipment and document readings.
• Ensure proper placement and function of lines and tubes.
• Communicate patient conditions to family members.
