Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Lufkin, Texas. This travel RN role requires a 36-hour work week with 12-hour night shifts in the ICU, and candidates must have ACLS, BLS, and at least 2 years of acute care experience.

You will evaluate and monitor critically ill patients, administer medications, order and interpret diagnostics, adjust life-support equipment, document care, and communicate with families. Travel benefits and stipends apply.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patients in ICU.
• Administer prescribed medications and document responses.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests; interpret results.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ICU equipment; ensure catheter/lead/tubing placement.
• Communicate patient conditions to families and coordinate with care team.
