Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an ICU Technician for the Transplant unit on the 9H night shift. The role supports bedside care, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs and glucose testing, working closely with nurses and staff.

A minimum of one year Nursing Attendant experience in acute care is required, with recent training as Nurse/Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant. Role is part-time, on-site at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Medical Center, with competitive benefits and

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year current Nursing Attendant experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant.
• Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs monitoring and blood glucose testing.
• Enter rooms and provide comfort, calm and compassionate care at the bedside.
• Collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to support patient care and safety.
• Contribute to a culture of care and Put Patients First in a high-acuity ICU setting.
