Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque seeks an ICU Technician to provide direct patient care under RN supervision within the ICU. You will assist nursing staff, monitor cardiac activity, and help maintain a safe, organized critical care area. The position includes limited clerical duties and adherence to MercyOne policies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, plus 2+ years nursing assistant or EMT/paramedic experience. Weekend and holiday rotation apply, with full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; higher-level education is allowed.
• Minimum of two years’ nursing assistant experience, two years EMT experience, or paramedic training completion.
• Arrhythmia monitoring course is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist in the physical aspects of patient care and in providing a safe, organized critical care environment.
• Observe cardiac monitors and assist in implementing department policies and procedures.
• Perform limited clerical and receptionist duties as needed.
