Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our ICU Stepdown Unit to provide high-acuity care bridging ICU and medical-surgical services. This full-time role is 0.90 FTE with night shifts, offering a competitive hourly pay range and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities include assessing and individualizing patient care plans, monitoring complex patients, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• Minimum of one year of recent progressive care, intermediate care, or stepdown nursing experience.
• Demonstrated competence in managing higher-acuity patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patients with complex medical needs and respond quickly to changing conditions.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care in accordance with professional practice standards.
• Document patient care accurately within the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to achieve the best outcomes.
• Delegate and coordinate care among team members.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and development opportunities.
