Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in good standing; Arkansas or compact state license required prior to start.
• 12 months of acute care experience required.
• BLS through the American Heart Association required within 30 days.
• ACLS through the American Heart Association required within 90 days.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse at CHI St. Vincent in the Stepdown Unit, you will help patients transitioning from intensive care achieve optimal health and independence so they can return home safely and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Check patients' health status daily and make note of any changes or concerns.
• Care for multiple patients throughout the same shift, often varying in age and condition.
• Monitor patients with life‑saving medical equipment such as IVs, catheters, feeding tubes, and ventilators.
• Provide a comfortable and secure environment for the patient while acting as their advocate.

Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse license in good standing; State of Arkansas or compact state license required prior to start date.
• 12 months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program).
• Previous step down and/or ICU experience strongly preferred.
• BLS through the American Heart Association is required within 30 days.
• ACLS through the American Heart Association is required within 90 days.

Pay Range

$32.28 - $43.58 /hour
