Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Special Care Unit. This is a Full-time, 36 hour/week, Day shift position within the 8-bed ICU/Step-Down unit where nurses conduct complex assessments and deliver intensive therapies to diverse patients.

The RN II role builds on RN I experience, with automatic advancement after one year given ongoing good standing. Benefits and a supportive, collaborative team are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience required.
• Current RN license in applicable state.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within 30 days of start.
• BSN preferred for this unit.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assessments and provide intensive therapies.
• Care for patients with respiratory failure, cardiac events, sepsis and recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
