Job summary

Beacon Health Options is seeking a Registered Nurse for an ICU step-down unit on the night shift. The role is full-time (36 hrs/week) from 7pm to 7:30am, with weekends and holidays per unit rotation.

This position includes a sign-on bonus and requires an AAS or RN Diploma with an RN license within 3 months of hire. Responsibilities include collaboration with patients and families, monitoring and preventing complications, and supervising delegated nursing tasks to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• AAS or RN Diploma required at start date.
• BSN degree is preferred.
• RN must be licensed within 3 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Participates with patient/family and healthcare team to identify mutual goals based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.
• Diagnoses, treats and evaluates patient health problems and needs.
• Evaluates outcomes of the nursing plan of care and revises as needed.
• Assesses, detects, monitors and prevents complications.
• Notifies physician of patient condition and documents actions.
• Ensures pain is assessed, treated, and reassessed; documents findings.
• Delegates tasks to other licensed/unlicensed staff as appropriate.
• Performs other duties within nursing scope as assigned.
