Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a Full Time Step Down ICU nurse manager for the 7am-7:30pm AM/PM shift. The role focuses on operational shift oversight, delegating care to staff, and ensuring timely patient admission, transfer and discharge.

The RN will lead, support and project a positive image within Lexington Medical Center’s standards. Candidates must hold a BSN, have 2+ years of specialty experience, and be licensed in SC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in areas of specialty within the past 5 years.
• Substitutable Education & Experience: ADN or Diploma may be considered if enrolled in RN to BS in Nursing or RN to MS in nursing with degree completed within 12 months.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina; national nursing certification in specialty or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Training: None.

• Promotes patient’s independence by setting care goals and educating patient and family.
• Serves as patient/family advocate.
• Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting accurately and timely.
• Uses systematic critical-thinking approach to guide data gathering, assessment, nursing judgement, intervention and evaluation.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Demonstrates ethical decision making and advocates for acceptable patient outcomes.
• Participates in process/performance improvement activities to maintain and improve quality of care.
