Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Shift Coordinator RN-ICU for a full-time days position. The role leads daily unit operations, coordinates nursing care for hospitalized patients, and ensures staffing and regulatory compliance.

Requires a BSN, Illinois RN license, 3 years RN experience, BLS, telemetry competency, and strong communication. You will supervise staff, manage admissions, document in Optilink, and participate in quality improvement while upholding patient safety and high

Qualifications

BSN required; Illinois RN license.
3 years RN experience.
BLS required; telemetry competency.
Ability to communicate in English; meet ANA standards.
Knowledge of Illinois Practice Act for Nursing.

Responsibilities

Presents a professional demeanor; provides updates to patients and customers.
Uses service recovery to solve problems and coordinate with staff across departments.
Manages unit operations, staffing and daily care delivery.
Oversees scheduling, staffing matrix and documentation in Optilink.
Ensures regulatory compliance and patient safety.
Coordinates patient placement and admissions orders.
Participates in unit/PCS teams and staff development.
