RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit at RWJUH Hamilton Hospital. The role emphasizes collaboration with a healthcare team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care, with growth, teamwork, and safety at the core.

Requirements include active NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASN or Diploma (BSN preferred), and 1–2 years ICU experience. Per-diem dayshift with rotating weekends/holidays. Strong communication and evidence-based practice are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification, ACLS and PALS
• ASN or Nursing diploma required; BSN preferred
• If ASN/diploma, must complete BSN within five years of hire
• 1–2 years experience on an Acute Care ICU unit
• Prior EMR experience (EPIC)
• Per-diem day shift with rotating weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments and hands-on care
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely, coordinated care
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparedness
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity of care
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to drive seamless communication
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture and continuous improvement
