Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in a specialty area will be considered.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS required for RNs in Critical Care and related units.
• NRP required for Labor and Delivery; PALS required for Pediatrics; TNCC within one year for Emergency Department.
• Preferred: One year of professional nursing experience.
• ACLS preferred in other units.

Responsibilities

• Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action.
• Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care.
• Oversee all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
