Job summary

McLaren Health Care, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, seeks an Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit (5E LAN). You will deliver high-quality nursing care, assess patients, and implement plans of care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an active Michigan RN license, ACLS within six months for critical care areas, and PALS/NRP as appropriate. On-call duties apply, and the schedule is full-time with 7a–7p shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in a specialty area will be considered; unit-specific competency may be required.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS required within six months for certain units (Critical Care, Emergency, Endoscopy, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Rehab, ICU, Telemetry Floats).
• NRP required for Labor and Delivery; PALS required for Pediatrics; PALS and TNCC within one year for the Emergency Department.
• Preferred: one year of professional nursing experience.
• ACLS preferred in other units.

Responsibilities

• Assess each assigned patient, document and evaluate response to plan of care, and take corrective action.
• Plan and implement the patient’s plan of care and provide patient teaching.
• Oversee all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
• Deliver nursing care following hospital policies and standards of care.
