Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on the Night shift. This full-time position includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and a pathway through our Clinical Ladder for salary growth.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, formulate and adjust individualized care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, coordinate with the care team, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS certification required
• BSN preferred
• 1+ years acute care hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities and outcomes.
• Respond to code situations promptly and effectively to stabilize patients.
• Engage in performance improvement activities and infection control compliance.
